在非正式的英文場合中，常會聽到老美使用 “kind of / sort of” 這類不太營養的詞語，西方稱這種詞為 “filler” (填塞詞)。”kind of /sort of” 有時意思很明確，有時卻又很模糊，端看說話者當時的口氣與上下文的對應關係。版主今天收到公司老美總裁的季報演講稿，內容是老總與主持人的訪談記錄，版主發現老美很愛用隨口丟出 “kind of /sort of” 這種片語來混時間 (想不出該說什麼) 或者刻意傳達模糊的印象。網友請見下例：

wanna/gonna一般常见于以下几个情况：

说明：当用于1、2两种情况时，通常是出于节拍或押韵或发音（to的爆破程度大，在唱歌时容易产生杂音，且不适合于情歌“呢喃”的感觉）等的需要，用于第3种情况，则仅仅是因为gonna/wanna本身是非常口语化的俚语，为了发音的简便，在非正式场合被经常使用，继而被用于网络聊天室。

4.ain't=am not,也可用作are not,is not,has not和have not的缩略语.
但是例子ain't no other man 意思是你是唯一,这里ain't no就等于是not any，不过这种用法，好象也只会用到no这样的否定副词。

5.oughta 则是 ought to， 应该~的意思。故，you ought to say sorry (你应该道歉）变成， you oughta say sorry. 
   

假設語氣(2) 假設語氣過去完成式

假設語氣(2) 如果跟過去不一樣的話...

If I had had money, I could have bought the book.

如果(那個時候)我有錢的話，我就可以買那本書了。

【重點】

 ‧ 與過去事實相反的假設

 ‧ if子句，主句同樣都要用過去完成式

 (1) 條件：「如果(假如)~，(就...)」

      「就...」(主句) 所提及的事情(直說法)

        有成為那樣的可能性。

       If the weather is fine, I will go out tomorrow.

        如果天氣好的話，我明天會外出。

           ※ go out: 外出    go out with ~ : 跟~約會

   

     「if子句，主句」

      雖然是在表達未來的事情，但 if子句 是現在簡單式

      

(2) 假設：「如果(假如)~，(就...)」

     

      為了達成「就...」主句目的之假設

      沒有成為那樣的可能性。

     If I were a bird, I could fly in the sky.

     如果我是一隻鳥的話，我就可以在天空飛。

  「if子句, 主句」

   要注意時態。「向後挪一格」

  

(3) 假設語氣過去完成式：與過去事實相反的假設

    「那個時候，如果(要是)~的話」

     假設與過去的事實不符合的情況

     →「 if + 過去完成式, 過去完成式 」

    ※ 原來的直說法(通常用if：可以實現)不合理

       (已成)過去的事已無法更改...

       

       (例句) 

        If I had had money, I could have bought the book.

         如果(那個時候)我有錢的話，我就可以買那本書了。

      

      If I had money,        I could buy the book

                   ↓                              ↓

       If I had had money, I could have bought the book.

                   ( could是助動詞，助動詞後面的動詞

                      必須為原形，所以had會變回have。)

       

     (與事實的關係)

    As I didn't have money, I couldn't buy the book.

    因為我當時沒有錢，我無法買那本書。

假設語氣(1)過去式

假設語氣(1) 假設不可能的事情

 If I were a bird, I could fly in the sky.

 如果我是一隻鳥，我就可以在天空飛。

【重點】

‧ 「沒有成為那樣的可能性」情況的表現

‧  現在的事情，使用過去式的句子來表達

‧  be動詞一律使用were

(1) 條件：「如果(假如)~，(就...)」

    「...就」(主句) 所提及的事情(直說法)

     有成為那樣的可能性的表達方式。

   

      If it is fine, I will go out tomorrow.

       如果天氣好的話，我明天會外出。

       ※ go out：外出   go out with~: 跟~約會

     「if 子句, 主句.」

       雖然是表達未來的事情，但 if子句 是現在簡單式。

(2) 假設：「如果(假如)~，(就...)」

     ‧ be動詞的過去式：使用were 

      (主詞不論是I或者是he等) 不要用was

      . 主句要使用助動詞

   

      如果我是一隻鳥的話(← 不可能)

       If I am a bird,              

            ↓           假設語氣的情況下，

       If I were a bird,   be動詞的過去式(不由得)要用were   

     ※ 雖然是現在的事情，

         英語卻以「過去式」來表達的話， 

         就是「假設語氣」

      主句的句型也一樣，現在式→過去式

      使用助動詞(could, would, might, should)

       ( 如果我是一隻鳥的話) 就能在天空飛。

          If I am a bird, I can fly in a sky.

                                           ↓

               If I were a bird, I could fly in a sky.

         (例如) 現在，不清楚錢包裡有多少錢。

                   沒錢的狀態下，

                   很明顯地，沒有帶到買書的錢。

 will和would的用法 

 1. 表達未來(將要~；將會~) 

will    ：表達現在的時間點到未來  would：表達過去的時間點到未來        → 可解釋成“將要~；將會~”

 will 和 would 的最基本，也是最重要的用法 ^ ^

 #為了能正確地使用，有幾點需要理解！

  # 由於would 是表達過去的時間點到未來，所以會和

    I thought / I decided / I believed等

   “間接引用”一起使用

 ─ would 沒有和“間接引用”使用的情況：

‧過去的習慣       ‧說話者過去的意志 ‧現在的推測       ‧假設語氣            可以解釋成各種各樣的意義，究竟是哪一種，  則必須透過上下文類推出來！

  I thought he would get up early in the morning.    

       ↓

I thought + would：表達過去的時間點到未來 →我認為他早上將會很早起床。

   

  

 He would get up in the morning.

     ↓

沒有I thought等“間接引用” ‧他過去常一大早起床。(過去的習慣)             ‧他將會一大早起床。(過去的意志)              ‧他大概一大早就會起床。(現在的推測)          ‧假如........，他就會一大早起床。(假設語氣)

   

will和would未來表達用法的注意事項#2.

# 表達未來的助動詞will和would可以被be going to代替。  

─ will / would 和 be going to 的意義上是有些許差異的。

‧will 和 would：                  依據說話者的意志所決定的未來。    ‧be going to：  依據狀況和環境所決定的未來。

 ─ 但是，大部分的情況 will / would 和be going to

   是以同樣的意思使用。

 

# will/would和be going to具有同樣意義的時候

  I think it will rain soon.

    = I think it is going to rain soon.

  我認為馬上就會下雨。( will = be going to)

  

   I thought it would rain soon.

     = I thought it was going to rain soon.

  我當時認為馬上就會下雨。(would = was going to )

 

  I know Kevin will be a successful businessman.

     = I know Kevin is going to be a successful businessman.

  我知道Kevin將會成為一個成功的商人。

  (will = is going to )

 

  I knew Kevin would be a successful businessman.

    = I knew Kevin was going to be a successful businessman.

  我當時知道Kevin會成為一個成功的商人。

  (would = was going to )

  I will not give up studying English.

  我不會放棄學習英文。  

  [出自說話者的意志的未來表現]

  ex. (因為我的目標是學好英文) 我將不會放棄學習英文。

   

  I'm not going to give up studying English.

  [出自周遭狀況、環境的未來表現] 

  ex. (已經開學了，這筆課程費用浪費掉的話會很可惜 )

      我不會放棄學習英文。

  I'll be rich.

  我會變富有。

  [出自說話者的意志的未來表現]

  ex.(為了一定要成功，我比任何人都要努力工作。)

     我會變富有。

   

  I'm going to be rich.

  我會變富有。

  [出自周遭狀況、環境的未來表現] 

  ex. (因中了樂透 ) 我會變富有。

  

will和would未來表達用法的注意事項#3.

  # 表達過去的時間點裡的未來“計畫”時候，

   不用 would，而是用was going to。 

‧I thought  ┐                                           I decided  │ + would：當時將要~      I believed ┘           → 過去時間點裡的說話者之意志  ‧was going to：當時將要~                 →過去時間點裡的未來計畫

    

 I decided I would visit my uncle in France last summer.

 我去年夏天決定要去拜訪我在法國的叔叔。

 [表達過去的說話者之意志]  (決心)

 I was going to visit my uncle in France last summer.

 我去年打算要去拜法我在法國的叔叔。

 [表達過去的時間點裡的未來計畫]  (已經計畫好)

 I would visit my uncle in France.

 我過去時常拜訪我法國的叔叔。

 [表達過去的習慣]

 I thought I would play soccer with my friends everyday.

   But I got tired of it so quickly.

 我以為我會每天跟朋友一起踢足球， (決定要去做)  

 但我很快就厭煩了。

 [表達過去的說話者之意志]

 I was going to play soccer with my friends yesterday.

  But the game was canceled.

 我昨天打算要去跟朋友踢足球， (將要執行的計畫)

 但是球賽被取消了。

 I would play soccer with my friends.

 我過去常跟朋友一起踢足球。

    總複習

1. will表達現在的時間點到未來，

   would是表達過去的時間點到未來。 

2. 助動詞would為了表達過去的時間點裡的未來表現，會和

   I thought / I decided / I believed 等間接引用一起使用。

 

3. 沒有附帶講的話所使用的would具有過去的習慣、

   說話者過去的意志、現在的推測、假設語氣等可

   解釋成各種各樣的意思，此時would的意思必須從上

   下文推測出來。

4. will和would都可以被be going to代替。

   will / would表達的是依據說話者的意志所決定的未來。

   be going to 表達的是依據環境或狀況所決定的未來。

 

5. 為了表達過去時間點裡的計畫(當時將要~)，

   不用would，而必須用was going to 。 

   ( would用來表達過去的說話者之意志)
